Applying with a Moldovan passport: the essentials
Written for Moldovan citizens with an ordinary passport who intend to visit Singapore briefly as tourists, this page lays our requirements, prices and conditions side by side. You can then judge the entire process before you spend time collecting documents.
Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) states that holders of a travel document issued by Moldova must have a visa to enter Singapore, while diplomatic, official and service passport holders are excluded from that rule. We deal only with ordinary passports here. ICA can change its guidance at any time, so read the wording it currently uses before paying anything that cannot be refunded.
Ours is a private service, not a government office, and we take no decisions on applications. What we do is explain the requirements, review the material you provide and process the application once it is complete. The decision rests solely with the Singapore authorities, and nothing on this page promises approval.

Few applications fail because of an obscure rule. More often a small mismatch is to blame: a surname written one way on the passport and another on the flight booking, hotel nights that do not fit the flight dates, or a photograph that is no longer recent. A short comparison of your documents before you apply is the cheapest protection there is.
Who can use our service
Our tourist visa service currently covers ten passport nationalities, and ordinary Moldovan passports are among them. The sections below show how that applies to different kinds of traveller.

The passport you will travel on
The application is based on the passport you will actually carry. If you hold another nationality as well and will travel on that other passport, this page does not apply to that journey.
Diplomatic, official and service passports
ICA says that diplomatic, official and service passports do not need a visa for entry into Singapore, which is why we do not offer our service for them. Check with ICA about the document you hold.
Adults
Every adult has an individual application and file, even when travelling with a partner, relatives or friends.
Children
Every child requires an application of their own, together with their own passport. A parent or guardian prepares the child’s details and photograph.
Citizens living or working abroad
What counts is the passport in your hand, not the country you live in. Our checklist contains no residence rule, although the authorities may ask for more information in some cases.
What Singapore (ICA) sets
- Whatever the age, each traveller needs a valid travel document issued in their own name; collective travel documents are not accepted.
- The passport must remain valid for six months at least. For Moldova, ICA counts the six months from the date you enter Singapore.
- ICA advises applying for the entry visa within 30 days before arrival.
- A visa is a permission to travel to Singapore and seek entry, nothing more. ICA officers make the decision on admission at the checkpoint.

Meeting our checklist allows us to put together a complete application. The authorities are not bound to approve it, and we cannot promise acceptance to every applicant.

Passport
A clear colour scan of the passport biodata page, on which the photograph, full name, passport number and other identity details can be read.
The passport must still have six months of validity on the day you are due to arrive in Singapore.
Our service requirement
Hotel reservation
A confirmed booking covering at least three nights of the trip, at a hotel rated three stars or higher.
Airbnb and other private accommodation cannot stand in for it, nor can invitations from friends, relatives or companies. These are our own submission standards and do not describe rules that apply to every visa application.

Confirmed tickets or bookings showing the dates you arrive in and depart from Singapore; flights, trains and buses are all acceptable.

Notes on the prices
- A child is an applicant in their own right and pays the same figure as an adult; we have no separate children’s rate.
- Asking for an entry type does not mean receiving it. Entry type, validity and conditions of any visa are fixed by the Singapore authorities, so paying for a particular type is no guarantee that it will be issued.
- Prices are given in USD only. We do not quote Moldovan lei or any other currency, and there is no separate government-fee line.

ICA’s 30-day advice
ICA advises applying for an entry visa within the 30 days before arrival. Collect your papers before that window opens, then agree with us a submission date that fits your itinerary.
Timing begins when the file is complete
We measure our estimates from the moment your application is complete. A missing item, or a correction we ask for, lengthens the total.
The authorities keep their own pace
Extra checks or questions from the authorities can extend processing beyond what we estimate.
How applying will work
Applying online is not possible yet because our application has not launched. The steps describe what we are building, and today only step one can be taken.
Step 1
Collect your papers
Go through the list above: passport scan, photograph, hotel booking, tickets and, if relevant, proof of work or business.
Step 2
Fill in the application
When the service opens, you complete one application for each traveller, entering details exactly as in the passport.
Step 3
Upload and pay online
You upload documents and pay for your chosen service within the application. Paying through this website is not possible at present.
Step 4
We review and submit
We examine the file and email you about any corrections needed. Once it is complete and verified, we process it and submit it through the applicable Singapore visa application channel.
Step 5
You receive the outcome
If the visa is approved, the e-Visa reaches you by email. If the application is refused, we let you know and send on any refusal notice we receive.
At present this website has no working application form or checkout. Until one exists, use this page and the requirements page to prepare.
Preparing your passport and photograph
Most avoidable setbacks come from these two items. ICA sets the six-month rule; the other points are standards we apply ourselves when submitting.
Based on ICA entry requirements
Passport checks
Six months are counted from the day you arrive in Singapore, and not from the day you apply. If the passport will not last that long, renew it before submitting anything.
Scan the full data page in colour and without creases, so the photograph, name and number can all be read.
Use the Latin spelling printed in your passport on every form and booking. Romanian-language names often contain letters such as ă, â, î, ș and ț, which a passport, an airline or a booking site may print with or without the marks, and an older document or an employer’s letter may follow a different transliteration. Make the tickets and the hotel booking follow the passport letter by letter.
Keep the original passport with you when travelling; the application needs only a digital copy of the data page.
Photo must meet ICA requirements
Photograph checks
Our requirements page lists these points, and the photograph must satisfy ICA’s own photograph requirements:
- A colour photograph taken within the last three months.
- A plain white background.
- Full face turned towards the camera, eyes open and nothing covering the face.
- A natural, sharp image of head and shoulders.
- No beauty filters, AI reconstruction or heavy retouching.
Visa validity is not the same as permitted stay
Many people read the dates on a visa as the length of time they may spend in Singapore. The two are different, and ICA treats them separately.
The checkpoint decision
ICA officers at the checkpoint decide whether you are admitted and given an immigration pass; a valid visa does not guarantee entry.
Your actual stay
The Visit Pass you receive on entry determines how long you may stay. ICA describes that period as different from the visa’s validity, and you must not stay beyond it.
Where we draw the line
We promise nothing about entry type, validity or length of stay; these depend on the visa that is actually granted.
Travelling with family or friends
Planning is simplest when every traveller, whatever their age, counts as a separate application.
An application each
Parents, children and friends each have an application of their own, and prices are charged per applicant.
A passport each
ICA expects every traveller to hold an individually issued travel document, which means a child cannot be added to a parent’s passport or application.
Different supporting papers
Proof of work or business applies to employed or self-employed adults. For children we may request documents about the trip or about their relationship to the adults they travel with.
Cancellation is per application
The USD $50 cancellation fee is charged for each application cancelled before submission to ICA, including a child’s.
Preparation errors to avoid
These are sensible checks rather than a list of reasons given by ICA for refusals.
A surname that differs between documents
Compare the spelling on the tickets and hotel booking with the passport, character by character, including how any ă, â, î, ș or ț was rendered.
Six months counted from the wrong date
Count from the day of arrival in Singapore; the day you submit does not matter.
A photo that breaks the rules
Old photographs, coloured backgrounds, filters and retouching are the common culprits.
Dates that fail to match
Hotel nights, flight or other tickets and the dates in the application must all agree.
Accommodation below our standard
Our standard is at least three nights in a hotel rated three stars or higher; Airbnb, private accommodation and invitations do not qualify.
Missing proof of work or business
Employed applicants and business owners should attach the relevant document from the checklist.
Cancellation and refunds
These terms apply to tourist visa applications. Below is a summary; the full wording is in our Refund Policy.
Before submission to ICA
Cancelling before we submit
If you cancel before we actually submit your application to ICA, a cancellation fee of USD $50 is charged per applicant and application.
It is deducted from the amount you paid, and the eligible balance is refunded, subject to applicable law. It is a deduction, not an additional charge.
After submission to ICA
After the application has reached ICA
Once the application has actually been submitted to ICA, the visa service amount you paid is non-refundable, even if the visa is refused or the application is otherwise unsuccessful, subject to applicable law.
A refusal on its own does not give a right to a refund after submission.
“Submission” means the actual submission to ICA, not our internal review of your documents.
If you believe a payment was charged twice or incorrectly, contact us and we will look into it. Billing errors and refunds required by law are handled separately from the cancellation terms above, and nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Do Moldovan passport holders need a visa for Singapore?
ICA states that a visa is needed to enter Singapore by anyone holding a travel document issued by Moldova; diplomatic, official and service passport holders are exempt.
Rules may change, so confirm ICA’s current guidance before you book.
I hold two nationalities. Which passport do I apply with?
The application is based on the passport you will travel with. This page and our checklist are for travellers using a Moldovan passport; if you travel on a different passport, the requirements for that document apply instead.
Which documents do you need from me?
A scan of the passport data page, a recent colour photograph, a hotel booking that meets our standard, tickets showing arrival and departure and, if applicable, proof of employment or of your business.

My surname has ă, â, î, ș or ț in it. How should I write it?
Exactly as the Latin spelling in your passport reads. Passports, airlines and booking sites do not always treat these letters in the same way, so check that your tickets and hotel booking match the passport; a different rendering of one name can look like a mismatch.
May I use a rented apartment or an invitation instead of a hotel booking?
No. We require a confirmed reservation covering at least three nights at a hotel rated three stars or higher. We do not accept Airbnb or other private accommodation, or invitations from friends, relatives or companies.
This is our own submission standard, not a rule presented as applying to every visa application.
How much does the visa cost?
The price depends on the entry type you request and on whether you choose normal or express. The table above lists every amount in USD per applicant, each including the ICA government visa fee and our service charge.
What is the normal processing time?
We estimate 5–7 working days. That is an estimate, not a promise, and corrections or additional checks can make it longer.
What do I get with express service?
A shorter estimate of 3–5 days, at a higher price. ICA and other authorities need not decide faster, and the estimate is not a guaranteed date.
Does the visa’s validity tell me how long I can stay?
No. ICA treats visa validity and the length of your stay as separate matters. The Visit Pass you are given when you enter sets how long you may remain, and a visa does not guarantee entry.
What about my children’s visas?
Each child has an individual application and an individual passport. A parent or guardian prepares the details and photograph and may be asked for documents about the trip or about the relationship with the adults accompanying the child.
Prices are per applicant, with no separate rate for children.
I live or work outside Moldova. Can I still apply?
Yes, as long as you hold a Moldovan passport. Our checklist does not depend on where you live: you need a valid passport and the listed documents.
In individual cases the authorities may still request more information.
Do I need a visa if I am only changing planes in Singapore?
ICA operates a separate 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility, and the list of Commonwealth of Independent States countries on its page includes Moldova. Among the conditions are travelling on to or from a third country, a valid onward air ticket that departs within 96 hours, and leaving Singapore by air; ICA officers judge eligibility at the point of entry.
That facility is for transit, not for a tourist stay, and is not part of our visa service. Read ICA’s current conditions before relying on it.
What if the visa is refused, or I cancel?
If ICA refuses the application, we inform you and forward any notice we receive.
If you cancel before we actually submit the application to ICA, USD $50 per application is deducted and the eligible balance is refunded, subject to applicable law. After submission the amount paid is non-refundable, including after a refusal, subject to applicable law.
Can I apply and pay on this website now?
Not yet. Our online application and payment are both closed, and this website accepts no applications or payments. For now, prepare using this page and the requirements page.
