A Singapore tourist visa on a Turkmenistan passport

This page is written for citizens of Turkmenistan who hold an ordinary passport and want to visit Singapore briefly as tourists. It sets our requirements, prices and terms out in one place, so you can judge the whole job before you start collecting documents.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), which runs entry control in Singapore, states that anyone holding a travel document issued by Turkmenistan needs a visa to enter. It also states that holders of diplomatic, official and service passports do not. We cover ordinary passports only. ICA can change its guidance, so read its current wording before you pay for anything that cannot be refunded.

Ours is a private visa application service, not a government office, and we never make the decision on an application. We explain what you need, check what you send and process the application when it is complete. The Singapore authorities alone decide the outcome, and nothing on this page promises approval.

What the service includes

  • Clear requirements

You see everything a traveller must supply in a single list, with no hunting through several sources.

  • A second pair of eyes

Your application and uploaded files are read by us, and we email you if anything needs to be corrected or added.

  • Processing and submission

When your file is complete we process it and submit it through the applicable Singapore visa application channel.

  • The e-Visa by email

When a visa is granted, the electronic visa (e-Visa) is sent by email to the address you gave in the application.

Visa files seldom stumble on a hard rule. They stumble on small mismatches: a surname that carries ň or ş in one document and not in another, hotel nights that do not cover the flight dates, a photograph taken years ago. Taking ten minutes to compare your documents with one another before you apply is the cheapest insurance there is.

Who the service is for

Ordinary passports issued by Turkmenistan are one of the ten passport nationalities our tourist visa service currently covers. How that works for different travellers is set out below.

  • Ordinary passports

A Turkmenistan passport in force that meets the six-month rule described below.

  • Every citizen, whatever the background

Citizens of Turkmenistan belong to many ethnic groups and speak different languages at home. Our service looks only at the passport you hold, never at your ethnicity or mother tongue.

  • Which passport you travel on

Your application belongs to the passport you will really carry. If you hold another nationality as well and plan to travel on that passport, your journey is outside what this page covers.

  • Diplomatic, official and service passports

ICA says that diplomatic, official and service passports need no visa for entry into Singapore, so our service is not designed for them. Ask ICA about your own document if you hold one.

  • Adults and children

An adult has an application and a file of their own; a child needs a separate application and a passport too, with the details and photograph prepared by a parent or guardian.

  • Citizens living or working abroad

It is your passport that matters, not your country of residence. We have no residence rule on our checklist, though the authorities can request more information in some cases.

What Singapore (ICA) sets

  • Every traveller, whatever their age, needs a valid document issued in their own name, and collective travel documents are not accepted.
  • The passport must stay valid for at least six months, which for Turkmenistan passports ICA counts from the date of entry into Singapore.
  • ICA suggests applying for an entry visa no earlier than 30 days before you arrive.
  • All a visa allows is to travel to Singapore and ask to be admitted; the decision belongs to ICA officers at the checkpoint.

What our service sets

  • Our document checklist, with the hotel and ticket standards we use.
  • Which passport nationalities we accept; Turkmenistan is one of ten.
  • Prices, processing choices and the terms for cancelling.
  • The online application flow still under construction, closed for now.

If you satisfy our checklist, we can put together a complete application. The authorities are not obliged to approve it, and we cannot promise that any particular applicant will be accepted.

Your document checklist

The checklist follows our requirements page. Each entry is tagged as a requirement of our own service or as resting on ICA’s entry requirements, and further documents may be requested depending on your circumstances.

  1. Our service requirement

    Application details

When our application opens, every traveller, children among them, will have a separate online application.

What you enter has to match your passport and your supporting documents.

  2. Based on ICA entry requirements

    Passport

A sharp, full-colour scan of the biodata page, with your photograph, full name, passport number and other identity details legible.

Six months of validity must remain on the day you are due to arrive in Singapore.

  3. Our service requirement

    Hotel reservation

A reservation confirmed for no fewer than three nights of your stay, at a hotel with three stars or more.

It cannot be replaced by Airbnb or other private accommodation, nor by invitations from friends, relatives or companies. We set these submission standards ourselves; they are not rules for every visa application.

  4. Our service requirement

    Travel tickets

Confirmed tickets or reservations showing when you arrive in Singapore and when you leave; flights, trains and buses are all fine.

  5. Our service requirement · depends on your circumstances

    Proof of work or business

If you are on a payroll: an up-to-date employment certificate or a letter from your employer.

If you work for yourself or own a company: the company’s registration paper or a trade licence.

  6. Photo must meet ICA requirements

    Passport-style photograph

Every applicant needs a recent, good-quality colour photograph that shows the face clearly and meets the Singapore visa photograph requirements.

Our requirements page has sample images of a passport data page and of a photograph that is acceptable.

Having every paper in order is no guarantee of a visa. Each application is weighed on its own by the authorities, who can ask for further material.

Visa prices for Turkmenistan passport holders

Amounts are given in US dollars (USD) for one applicant, and each is all-inclusive: the ICA government visa fee and our professional service charge sit inside the figure and are never itemised. Normal and express are shown next to each other.

Prices in US dollars for a Singapore tourist visa on a Turkmenistan passport, arranged by entry type requested and by service

Single-entry$130 USD$180 USD
Double-entry$140 USD$190 USD
Multiple-entry$170 USD$220 USD

USD per applicant

Notes on the prices

  • Children count as applicants and pay what an adult pays; there is no children’s rate.
  • Requesting an entry type does not mean you will get it. Entry type, validity and conditions of any visa are set by the Singapore authorities, so paying for one type is no guarantee that it will be issued.
  • Prices are quoted in USD only. We do not convert them into Turkmenistan manat or any other currency, and no separate government-fee line exists.

Choosing between normal and express

Both timings below are our own estimates of the working time needed once your application is complete, and neither is a date we commit to.

Normal service

Estimated processing time

5–7 working days

A fit when your departure is not imminent and your documents are in order.

Express service

Estimated processing time

3–5 days

Pricier, with a shorter estimate, which helps with tight schedules. This is our own service option, and ICA and other authorities do not have to decide any faster.

  • The 30-day window

ICA advises applying within 30 days before arrival. Get your papers in order before that window opens, then agree a submission date with us that fits your itinerary.

  • Counting starts with a complete file

Our clock starts when your application is complete. Anything missing, or any correction we request, extends the total.

  • Officials work at their own speed

Additional checks or queries on the authorities’ side may stretch processing beyond what we estimate.

How applying will work

The online application is still to be launched. Below is what we are putting together; right now, step one is the only one you can take.

  1. Step 1

    Gather your documents

Go through the list above and collect your passport scan, a photograph, a hotel booking, tickets and, if it applies to you, proof of work or business.

  2. Step 2

    Complete the application

After the service opens you complete one application for each traveller, entering the details exactly as they are printed in the passport.

  3. Step 3

    Upload and pay online

Inside the application you upload documents and pay for the service you chose. Payment through this website is not possible for now.

  4. Step 4

    We review and submit

We go through the file and email you if corrections are needed. After it is complete and verified, we process it and submit it through the applicable Singapore visa application channel.

  5. Step 5

    You receive the outcome

An approved visa arrives as an e-Visa in your inbox. A refusal is communicated to you, together with any refusal notice that reaches us.

Right now the site offers no working application form or checkout. Until that changes, rely on this page and the requirements page for preparation.

Preparing your passport and photograph

Most delays that could have been avoided begin with one of these two items. The six-month rule is ICA’s; the other points are standards that we apply ourselves when submitting.

Based on ICA entry requirements

Passport checks

Six months are counted from the day you arrive in Singapore and not from the day you apply. A passport that will not last that long should be renewed before anything is submitted.

Scan the entire data page in colour and without creases, so that photograph, name and number are all readable.

Copy the Latin spelling from the data page onto every form and booking. Turkmen names often contain letters such as ä, ç, ň, ö, ş, ü, ý and ž, which an airline, a booking site or an older document may print with the marks removed or replaced, or transliterate from Cyrillic in another way. Make the tickets and the hotel booking follow the passport letter by letter.

Carry the original passport on the journey itself; for the application we need only a digital copy of the data page.

Photo must meet ICA requirements

Photograph checks

Our requirements page spells these points out, and the photograph also has to satisfy ICA’s own photo rules:

  • Colour, and taken in the last three months.
  • A plain white background.
  • Face fully visible and square to the camera, eyes open, nothing in front of it.
  • Head and shoulders in a natural pose, in sharp focus.
  • Free of beautifying filters, AI reconstruction and heavy retouching.

Visa validity and permitted stay are two things

The dates printed on a visa tempt people to treat them as the time they can spend in Singapore. They are different matters, and ICA handles them separately.

What a visa is

In ICA’s terms an entry visa is permission given in advance to travel to Singapore and ask to enter; it does not amount to an immigration pass.

What happens at the checkpoint

Whether you are admitted, and given an immigration pass, is decided by ICA officers at the checkpoint, so a valid visa does not secure entry.

How long you may stay

It is the Visit Pass handed to you on arrival that fixes your stay. ICA treats that period as distinct from the visa’s validity, and overstaying it is not allowed.

Where we draw the line

No promise is made on entry type, validity or length of stay; those depend on the visa that is actually issued.

Applying as a family or a group

Planning is smoothest if each traveller, young or old, is treated as a separate application.

  • One application each

Each parent, child or friend files an application of their own, and the price is per applicant.

  • One passport each

A travel document issued to the individual is what ICA expects from every traveller, which means a child cannot ride on a parent’s passport or application.

  • Different supporting papers

Evidence of work or business matters for adults who are employed or self-employed. For a child, we may ask for papers about the trip or about how the child is related to the adults on the journey.

  • Cancellation is per application

USD $50 is charged as a cancellation fee on every application cancelled before it is submitted to ICA, a child’s included.

Mistakes to avoid when preparing documents

Consider these ordinary checks, not reasons that ICA has given for refusing applications.

  1. Marks that appear in one place and not another

Compare the spelling on your tickets and hotel booking with the passport letter by letter, including how ä, ç, ň, ö, ş, ü, ý and ž were handled.

  2. Counting the six months from the wrong date

Counting begins on the day you land in Singapore, so the date of your application is beside the point.

  3. A picture that ignores the photo rules

Out-of-date pictures, coloured backgrounds, filters and retouching are behind most of the trouble.

  4. Dates that contradict each other

The nights booked, the tickets and the dates entered in the application have to agree with one another.

  5. Accommodation below our standard

Three nights or more in a hotel of three stars or higher is our standard, and Airbnb, private accommodation and invitations fall short of it.

  6. Missing evidence of work or business

If you are employed or own a business, add the corresponding document listed in the checklist.

Cancellation and refunds

The terms below cover tourist visa applications. You will find a summary here and the complete wording in our Refund Policy.

Before submission to ICA

Cancelling before we submit

If you cancel before we actually submit your application to ICA, a cancellation fee of USD $50 is charged per applicant and application.

It is deducted from the amount you paid, and the eligible balance is refunded, subject to applicable law. It is a deduction, not an additional charge.

After submission to ICA

After the application is with ICA

Once the application has actually been submitted to ICA, the visa service amount you paid is non-refundable, even if the visa is refused or the application is otherwise unsuccessful, subject to applicable law.

A refusal on its own does not give a right to a refund after submission.

“Submission” means the actual submission to ICA, not our internal review of your documents.

If you believe a payment was charged twice or incorrectly, contact us and we will look into it. Billing errors and refunds required by law are handled separately from the cancellation terms above, and nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Questions from holders of a Turkmenistan passport

Short replies that line up with what our requirements, fees and refund pages say.

Does a Turkmenistan passport holder need a visa for Singapore?

According to ICA, a visa is required to enter Singapore for anyone with a travel document issued by Turkmenistan; diplomatic, official and service passport holders are the exception.

ICA may update its guidance, so check the latest wording before you make bookings.

Is this service limited to ethnic Turkmen?

No. Every holder of an ordinary Turkmenistan passport can use it, regardless of ethnic background or the language spoken at home.

What we need is a valid passport issued by Turkmenistan and the documents on our checklist.

Which papers should I send you?

Send a scan of your passport data page and a recent colour photograph, plus a hotel reservation that meets our standard and tickets for arrival and departure, and proof of employment or of your business if either is relevant.

Our requirements page carries the complete checklist; on occasion we may request additional items.

Open the requirements page

My name has ä, ç, ň, ö, ş, ü, ý or ž in it. How should I write it?

Exactly as the Latin spelling on your passport’s data page reads. Airlines and booking sites do not always keep these letters, so check that your tickets and hotel booking match the passport; a different rendering of the same name can look like a mismatch.

Is a rented flat or an invitation acceptable in place of a hotel booking?

No. A confirmed reservation for three nights or more at a hotel rated three stars or above is required. Airbnb, other private accommodation and invitations from friends, relatives or companies are not accepted.

The standard is ours, set for our own submissions; we do not claim it applies to every visa application.

See the hotel requirement

What does the visa cost?

That varies with the entry type you request and with normal or express service. Every amount in USD per applicant is in the table above, and each one already includes the ICA government visa fee and our service charge.

View the fee schedule

How long will normal service take?

We expect 5–7 working days. It is a forecast and not a commitment, and any corrections or extra checks can add to it.

What does express service change?

Express brings the estimate down to 3–5 days, at a higher price. ICA and other authorities are free to take longer, and the estimate is not a guaranteed date.

Can I tell from the visa’s validity how long I may stay?

You cannot. ICA treats the visa’s validity and the length of stay as separate questions: the Visit Pass issued when you enter fixes how long you may remain, and a visa on its own does not ensure entry.

More on validity in our general FAQ

How are my children’s applications handled?

A child has an individual application and holds an individual passport. The parent or guardian prepares the details and the photograph, and may be asked for documents about the trip or about the child’s relationship with the adults travelling together with them.

The price is the same per applicant; no special children’s rate exists.

What if I live abroad or carry a second passport?

Your place of residence does not affect our checklist; what we need is a valid Turkmenistan passport and the documents listed. The authorities may still request more information in individual cases.

Should you travel on another country’s passport, the rules for that document apply and this page does not.

Do I need a visa for a connection in Singapore?

ICA has a separate 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility. Its page lists Turkmenistan among the nationalities that may be eligible, in the section it shares with the CIS countries, Georgia and Ukraine. Among the conditions: travelling on to or from a third country, a valid onward air ticket departing within 96 hours, and leaving Singapore by air. Staying longer is not allowed, and entry is assessed by ICA officers at the point of entry.

It is meant for transit and not for a tourist stay, and it forms no part of our visa service. Before you rely on it, read the conditions ICA currently publishes.

More on transit in our general FAQ

What are the consequences of a refusal or of cancelling?

Should ICA refuse the application, we inform you and forward any notice that reaches us.

If you cancel before we actually submit the application to ICA, USD $50 per application is deducted and the eligible balance is refunded, subject to applicable law. After submission the amount paid is non-refundable, including after a refusal, subject to applicable law.

Read the Refund Policy

Is it possible to apply and pay on this website at the moment?

Not at the moment. The online application and payments are both closed, and the website takes neither applications nor payments. Until that changes, prepare using this page and the requirements page.
