The e-Visa
During its validity period it allows the journey and your request for entry at the checkpoint. Carry a copy with your passport.
🇧🇩Tourist visa information for Bangladeshi passport holders
Ordinary Bangladeshi passports need a Singapore visa; diplomatic, official and service passports do not. If you are travelling on an ordinary passport, this page covers the papers ICA expects, how to handle Bengali-language records, how the e-Visa reaches you, and what to prepare before you fly.

Entry types
You can request single, double or multiple entry. The authorities decide what is issued.
Passport type matters
ICA exempts diplomatic, official and service passports. Ordinary passports need a visa.
Bangladesh is on ICA’s visa-required list. ICA’s Bangladesh page states that you need a visa to enter Singapore if you hold a travel document issued by Bangladesh, and it then adds an exception: holders of diplomatic, official and service passports do not need a visa for entry.
In practice, the passport type decides which side of that line you are on. An ordinary passport means preparing a visa application, and this page is written for that case. A diplomatic, official or service passport falls under the exemption ICA describes, and the rest of this page does not apply to it.
We prepare the application with you and submit it through a route ICA accepts. Whether a visa is issued, and whether you are admitted on arrival, are decisions for the Singapore authorities.
Every item is marked as an ICA requirement, a conditional item or a standard of our own.
Names, passport numbers and dates are checked across the form, the passport copy and any Bengali-to-English translation.
The finished file is submitted through the route that applies to your case.
An approval comes as an e-Visa, emailed to the address you gave in the application.
Consistency is what our review checks most closely: the same name spelling, the same dates and the same trip on every page of the file.
Use this page if you hold an ordinary Bangladeshi passport and plan a social visit to Singapore. The sections below explain how the requirements apply to the most common situations. They describe preparation, not the likely outcome.
You need a visa. The rest of this page applies to you.
ICA’s Bangladesh page says these holders do not need a visa for entry. Confirm the details of your own trip with ICA.
The visa requirement goes with the passport. If you plan to use a Singapore Overseas Mission, ICA directs you to that mission’s website for its procedure.
Form V39A can come from a local contact: a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, at least 21, with Singpass. Without one, ICA’s page says an Embassy letter can be accepted.
Our checks help the file reach ICA in good order. They are not a decision on the visa or a promise of entry.
ICA lists these documents for a business or social visit. Items that apply only in some cases are marked, and our own standard is shown separately at the end.
ICA requirement
Your application is decided on what you declare in this form. ICA may also ask for the form itself to be submitted, so keep the signed copy.
ICA requirement
A clear photocopy of the page with your photo and details. The passport must still have six months of validity on the day you enter Singapore.
ICA requirement
A passport-sized colour photograph taken in the past three months, following ICA’s photo guidelines.
ICA requirement for non-English records
A trade licence or certificate written in Bengali needs an official English translation, with the original and a copy for ICA to keep.
The accepted sources are the issuing country’s embassy, a notary public in Singapore or the issuing country, or a private translator whose work that embassy attests or such a notary notarises.
Conditional · ICA procedure
A letter of introduction, needed case by case and normally issued by a local contact. An Embassy-issued letter can be accepted if no local contact letter is available.
Our submission standard · depends on circumstances
If you are employed, a recent letter or certificate from your employer. If you run a business, its registration document or trade licence, with an accepted English translation if it is written in Bengali.
Our submission standard
A hotel reservation of three nights or more at a three-star or higher property, plus confirmed bookings for arriving in and leaving Singapore. We do not accept an Airbnb booking or an invitation from friends, relatives or a company in its place.
Our requirements page shows a marked-up biodata page and an example of an acceptable photograph.

ICA and our service each have their own timing. ICA’s statement concerns its processing after submission. Our normal and express estimates concern our work, starting once your file is complete. Treat both as planning guides rather than deadlines.
Our service estimate
5–7 working days
For travellers with a little flexibility and all records ready.
Our service estimate
3–5 days
Our faster handling option, at a higher price. It speeds up our work only, not ICA’s.
Three working days excluding the submission day, according to ICA, with some applications taking longer.
ICA advises applying within the 30 days before you arrive. Gather documents and translations earlier, then submit inside that window.
Any further question from ICA or from our review lengthens the overall time.
ICA accepts submissions through its e-Service, made by a strategic partner or local contact, and at a Singapore Overseas Mission or its authorised visa agent. Here is how a file moves through our hands.
Step 1
Confirm that you hold an ordinary passport and that it will be valid six months beyond your entry date.
Step 2
Arrange an accepted English translation for any Bengali record you plan to include.
Step 3
One application for each traveller, with names exactly as the passport prints them.
Step 4
We check the uploads against each other and email you if something needs correcting.
Step 5
The application shows the price for your entry type and service level before you pay.
Step 6
We submit the file. An approval is emailed to you as an e-Visa, and ICA’s page also allows the local contact, strategic partner or authorised visa agent to print it from the e-Service.
Save every document and email from the application in one folder you can reach while travelling.
Apply OnlineICA states the passport validity rule and the photo requirement directly. The remaining points are the checks we use to avoid sending a file back to you.
ICA requirement
Add six months to your planned arrival date and check the passport’s expiry against that date.
Photograph or scan the whole biodata page in good light, so the number, the dates and the two machine-readable lines are legible.
If your passport has been renewed, use the new passport’s number everywhere in the application.
ICA requirement
The photo must be recent (taken within three months), in colour and passport-sized, and must follow ICA’s photo guidelines. On top of that we check:
An approved e-Visa is the start of the journey, not the end of the checks. These are the points that matter between approval and arrival.
During its validity period it allows the journey and your request for entry at the checkpoint. Carry a copy with your passport.
The officer at the checkpoint decides how long you may stay and records it on your electronic Visit Pass, independent of the visa’s dates.
Admission is decided at the checkpoint. Holding an approved visa does not guarantee entry.
ICA’s Visa-Free Transit Facility lists specific nationalities, and Bangladesh is not one of them. No transit arrangement is described on this page; ask ICA before planning a stopover outside the transit area.
Pack the passport you applied with, a copy of the e-Visa, and your hotel and return bookings. Submit the SG Arrival Card within the three days before arrival, counting the arrival day.
Travelling as a family does not combine the applications. Each person, however young, is handled as a separate applicant.
Parents and children each complete an application and are charged the per-applicant price.
ICA requires an individually issued travel document, so a child needs their own passport.
A birth certificate or other family record in Bengali that you choose to include needs an accepted English translation.
Use the same hotel booking and travel dates in each family member’s file so the applications describe the same journey.
We check for these before any file is submitted. They are preparation points; ICA does not generally publish reasons for its decisions.
A Bengali name can be written in English more than one way. Copy the spelling printed in the passport onto every form and translation.
After a renewal, the previous passport number can linger on bookings or letters. Update every reference to the current passport.
Translating a record yourself does not meet ICA’s requirement. Use the embassy, a notary public, or a private translation that one of them has attested or notarised.
Six months from the entry date is the test. Renew first if the passport will not reach it.
The exemption covers diplomatic, official and service passports only. An ordinary passport still needs a visa.
If you change a flight or hotel after applying, keep the new details consistent with what the file says, or tell us.
A summary of our tourist visa refund rules. The complete wording is on our Refund Policy page.
Before submission to ICA
If you cancel before we submit your application to ICA, a cancellation fee of USD $50 applies per applicant and application.
The fee is deducted from the amount you paid, and the remaining eligible amount is refunded, subject to applicable law.
After submission to ICA
After submission to ICA, the paid visa service fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
A refusal does not by itself make a submitted application refundable.
If you believe a payment was duplicated or charged incorrectly, contact us so that we can review it. Legally required refunds and billing errors are handled separately.
Nothing in these rules limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
Answers for Bangladeshi passport holders. Each one shows whether it is ICA’s rule or our own practice.
Yes. ICA’s Bangladesh page requires a visa for a travel document issued by Bangladesh, apart from the passport types it exempts.
Yes. The requirement follows the Bangladeshi passport, not your country of residence. ICA lists the e-Service through a strategic partner or local contact, and Singapore Overseas Missions or their authorised visa agents; for a mission, its own website sets out the procedure.
Use the new passport for the application and the biodata copy, and update the passport number on any booking or letter that shows the old one. The six-month validity rule applies to the new passport.
ICA’s Bangladesh page says holders of diplomatic, official and service passports do not need a visa for entry. This page is written for ordinary passports, so confirm your own case with ICA.
Four routes are accepted by ICA: a translation by the issuing country’s embassy; one by a notary public in Singapore or the issuing country; a private translation attested by that embassy; or a private translation notarised by such a notary.
Submit the original and a copy with the translation.
Complete and sign it in every case. ICA’s page says the application is based on what you declare and that ICA may request the form itself to be submitted.
If the application is approved, the e-Visa is emailed to you. ICA also says a local contact, strategic partner or authorised visa agent can print a copy through the e-Service.
ICA advises applying within 30 days before arrival and states a processing time of three working days (the submission day not counted), although some take longer. Our service estimates are separate.
Bangladesh is not on the list for ICA’s Visa-Free Transit Facility, so no such option is described here. Ask ICA before booking a connection.
No. The arrival card is its own declaration, required of all travellers apart from narrow exemptions, and submitted within three days before you arrive, counting the arrival day. There is no charge, and it is not a visa.
That is decided at the checkpoint and shown on your electronic Visit Pass. The visa’s validity does not set it.
Before submission to ICA, a USD $50 cancellation fee applies per applicant and application, and the remaining eligible amount is refunded, subject to applicable law. After submission, the paid visa service fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
Check the passport type and validity, arrange any Bengali translations, then review the requirements and our prices before you begin.
