🇲🇦Travel to Singapore on a Moroccan passport
Morocco is on ICA’s visa-required list, with one carve-out: diplomatic passports. Everyone else needs an approved visa before flying. Moroccan paperwork often mixes Arabic and French, and ICA wants English versions of both, so this guide spends time on translations and on keeping a name spelled the same way from passport to booking.

Entries requested
Ask for one, two or multiple entries. Singapore’s authorities fix what is actually issued.
Two-language paperwork
Arabic and French records both need an official English translation under ICA’s rule.
ICA places Morocco among the countries whose travel documents need a Singapore entry visa. If Morocco issued the passport you will use, approval has to be in place before departure, whether the trip is a holiday, a family visit or a few days of meetings.
The Morocco page then makes a single exception, for holders of diplomatic passports. Official and service passports are not named in that sentence, so holders of those documents should confirm their position with ICA instead of assuming they fall under the exemption. The rest of this guide concerns ordinary passports.
Three of ICA’s requirements shape a Moroccan file. Any record not in English must be supplied as an original with an official translation and copies ICA can keep. Form V39A, the letter of introduction, is part of the standard list. And the passport has to stay valid for six months beyond your arrival date.
We assemble the documents, check each translation against its source, and file the application through a channel ICA recognises. ICA alone decides on the visa, and ICA officers decide at the border whether you may enter.
Arabic and French originals are read alongside their English versions so that names, dates and stamps carry across.
We align every form and booking with the Latin-script name in your passport.
The introduction letter is compared with your application before anything is filed.
Once the file is complete, we lodge it and pass on ICA’s decision by email.
Translations and the introduction letter can take the longest to arrange, because other people produce them. Book the translator and ask your contact in Singapore before you think about flights.
The situations below apply ICA’s Morocco guidance to typical travellers. They explain the rules; they do not indicate how a particular application will be decided.
From Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakesh, Fès or Tangier, the position is the same: you need a visa, and the steps below apply.
A Moroccan passport holder settled in France, Spain, Belgium, Italy or the UAE still needs the visa. Where you live only decides which submission route is most convenient.
ICA’s Morocco page exempts diplomatic passport holders from the visa requirement.
These are not mentioned in ICA’s exemption for Morocco. Ask ICA how your document is treated before travelling without a visa.
Travelling on a passport from another country means this page does not apply; look up ICA’s requirements for that passport.
Our standards make the file easier to review; ICA’s assessment is independent of them, and nothing we do guarantees a visa or admission.
ICA’s own requirements come first, including its rule on translations. After them are documents ICA can request in a given case, and then our hotel and travel standard, which is ours rather than ICA’s.
ICA requirement
Complete and sign Form 14A. ICA considers your application on the basis of what you declare here and may ask you to produce the signed form, so keep it safely.
ICA requirement
A recent colour photo in passport format, taken no more than three months before you apply, following ICA’s photo guidelines.
ICA requirement
A copy of the page with your photo and personal details. Check that six months of validity remain beyond your arrival date.
ICA requirement
ICA includes Form V39A for Moroccan applicants. Whoever signs as your local contact needs Singapore citizenship or permanent residence, an age of 21 or more and a Singpass login; for business meetings, they also need to be acting for the Singapore company you are visiting.
If you cannot obtain the letter locally, ICA will accept one issued by your Embassy, for both social and business trips.
ICA requirement for non-English records
An acte de naissance, a family record, a certificate from your employer or any other Arabic or French document goes to ICA in three forms: the original, an official English translation, and a copy ICA can keep.
For a document issued in Morocco, the accepted sources are Morocco’s embassy, a notary public in Morocco or Singapore, or a private translator whose work Morocco’s embassy later attests or such a notary later notarises. No private translation firm is endorsed by ICA.
Case by case · ICA may request
Files that ICA considers thin may not be accepted, and ICA can request further papers at its discretion. Additional Arabic or French items need the same official translation.
Our submission standard
Our checklist asks for a minimum three-night stay in a hotel rated three stars or more, and for confirmed travel to and from Singapore. Under our standard, short-let apartments and stays with friends cannot replace the hotel booking.
Visual examples of a clear passport scan and a compliant photo are on our requirements page.
Browse the requirements checklistEven a complete file can attract a request for more. The documents support the application; they do not settle it.
Prices are in US dollars and charged for each applicant. They include the ICA government visa fee and our professional service charge, which we do not list separately. Pick the row for your requested entries and the column for the speed you need.

Our estimates cover the time we spend once every document and translation has reached us. ICA’s processing starts after submission and is described separately. Treat all of these as guides rather than fixed dates.
Our handling time
5–7 working days
The usual choice when translations and Form V39A are ready before you start.
Our handling time
3–5 days
We spend less time on the file, at a higher price. ICA’s processing stays the same.
According to ICA, processing is completed within three working days of lodging, the lodging day not counted; certain applications take longer, and each is weighed on its merits.
Embassy translations, notarisation or attestation depend on other people’s schedules. Start early.
ICA’s advice is to lodge the application no more than 30 days before you land; get the paperwork ready earlier.
Moroccan applications reach ICA either online, where a strategic partner or someone you know in Singapore files them on the e-Service, or offline through a Singapore Overseas Mission and the agent it appoints, whose procedure appears on the mission’s website. Visas cannot be applied for at the immigration counter. Here is our sequence:
Step 1
An ordinary Moroccan passport needs a visa. Make sure it remains valid for six months after you arrive.
Step 2
Gather the Arabic or French documents you will use and have each translated into English by an accepted source.
Step 3
A local contact signs it; your Embassy is ICA’s accepted fallback.
Step 4
Copy your name from the Latin-script line of the passport, including any El, Ben or Ou spellings exactly as printed.
Step 5
We compare every document and translation and email you any corrections; payment then follows, priced by entry type and speed.
Step 6
We file the application. If ICA approves it, the e-Visa can be printed through the e-Service by whoever filed it.
Keep the e-Visa, your translations and our emails together so you can show them quickly if asked.
Apply OnlineTwo rules here are ICA’s: the six-month passport validity and the recent photo. The rest are our own checks.
ICA requirement
If the expiry date falls less than six months after your arrival, renew the passport before applying.
Scan or photograph the whole data page in good light, keeping the machine-readable lines sharp.
Moroccan names are often written with French-style spellings, such as Ou for a w sound or Ch for sh. Use exactly the version printed in the passport.
ICA requirement
Recent and in colour, taken in the last three months, and compliant with ICA’s photo guidelines, which forbid altered or enhanced images. We also check:
The e-Visa is permission to travel and to ask for entry. ICA does not treat it as an immigration pass, and your length of stay is set on arrival.
Travel on the passport you applied with, within the e-Visa’s validity, and carry a copy.
Your permitted stay is stated on the electronic Visit Pass emailed when you enter, and is set independently of the visa.
Staying beyond your permitted period requires a separate extension application, according to ICA.
Morocco is absent from the nationalities covered by the Visa-Free Transit Facility. Before arranging a stopover outside the airport, put the question to ICA.
Each relative is a separate applicant, but the documents often overlap. One translated family record may support several files.
Parents and children apply separately and each pays one applicant price.
Every child travels on a passport in their own name; ICA does not accept collective travel documents.
If a family record in Arabic or French goes into the file, ICA wants it translated officially into English and submitted with its original and a copy.
Keep hotel nights and flights identical across the family’s applications.
We check for the points below before filing. ICA assesses each case on its merits, so this list is about getting details right rather than predicting decisions.
French is not accepted in place of English. A French-language record needs an official English translation like an Arabic one.
El Idrissi and Elidrissi, or Ouazzani and Wazzani, read as different names to a booking system. Follow the passport everywhere.
A translation done by a friend, without embassy attestation or notarisation, does not satisfy ICA’s rule.
ICA’s Morocco page exempts diplomatic passports only. Ask ICA about official and service passports.
ICA wants copies it can retain in addition to originals and translations.
Form V39A should carry the same name spelling, passport number and dates as the application.
Our cancellation terms for tourist visas, briefly. The complete wording sits on the Refund Policy page.
Before submission to ICA
If you cancel before we submit your application to ICA, a cancellation fee of USD $50 applies per applicant and application.
The fee is deducted from the amount you paid, and the remaining eligible amount is refunded, subject to applicable law.
After submission to ICA
After submission to ICA, the paid visa service fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
A refusal does not by itself make a submitted application refundable.
If you believe a payment was duplicated or charged incorrectly, contact us so that we can review it. Legally required refunds and billing errors are handled separately.
Nothing in these rules limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
Where an answer reflects our own working practice rather than ICA’s guidance, it says so.
Yes. ICA’s Morocco page requires one for Moroccan travel documents and exempts only holders of diplomatic passports.
ICA has not said so. The Morocco exemption covers diplomatic passports and is silent on official and service ones, so get ICA’s confirmation before travelling.
Not by itself. ICA treats French like any other non-English language: an official English translation is needed, along with the original and copies.
Morocco’s embassy, a notary public in Morocco or Singapore, or a private translator whose work is then attested by the embassy or notarised by such a notary.
Yes. Living in Madrid or Barcelona leaves the visa rule unchanged; a strategic partner or local contact can file the application online for you, or you can go through whichever Singapore mission serves your area, or its appointed agent.
ICA’s Morocco page lets your Embassy issue the letter of introduction instead, for social and business visits.
As our own practice, yes. Copy the passport’s Latin-script spelling onto every booking, form and translation.
Three working days after the submission day is ICA’s published figure, and some Moroccan files will need longer. What we quote as normal or express covers only our own share of the work.
No such facility covers Moroccan passports; ICA’s Visa-Free Transit Facility is limited to other nationalities. Raise any plan to leave the airport with ICA first.
In the three-day window before arrival, counting the arrival day. The card is free, distinct from the visa, and compulsory for all but narrowly exempt travellers.
Before submission to ICA, a USD $50 cancellation fee applies per applicant and application, and the remaining eligible amount is refunded, subject to applicable law. After submission, the paid visa service fee is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
Arrange translations of your Arabic and French records and the letter of introduction first, confirm the passport’s validity, and review our prices and estimates.
